In-Home Respite:
Direct Services Support
Social Impact Services (SIS) intends to provide a break in care/relief for families from the demanding responsibilities/supervision associated with caring for a consumer.
SIS will provide supervision to a consumer (non-medically) for an intermittent and/or regularly scheduled temporary period. SIS will maintain usual routines and basic needs of consumers by providing supports and supervision in the following areas but not limited to daily living routines, self-help needs, socialization. SIS intends to perform the responsibilities that typically the relative/caretaker would perform during the scheduled
The curriculum of In-home Respite includes, but is not limited to:
1:1 support (unless specified), @ 12-40 hours per month (personalized to meet client’s needs)
Meal Planning
Meal Preparation
Home Management
Self-Care/Personal Hygiene
Basic self-help needs/daily routines
Self- advocacy
Community/home safety
Parenting skills/resources (if applicable)
Process to become a client:
To get started, complete our Client Intake Form and let your San Diego Regional Center Service Coordinator and/or Program Manager know you’re interested. If you’re approved, our team will schedule an intake meeting and request funding.
